Steve & Sherry young

Steve and I began our RV adventures several years ago, just after Steve's dad suggested that we get an RV and join them on the open road. We bought a used Holiday Rambler, about 34 feet. We tended to drive it like a car.....long miles and no time to settle in and enjoy our home on wheels......not to mention the gasoline bills. In addition, there were too many repairs. We sold it, and for a few years would breathe a sigh of relief as a motorhome would pass us, or be on the side of the road. "Glad that's not us!"

Then, we got the RV Bug again. I can't recall a particularly transforming moment for our change of heart, but change we did, and bought an Endeavor. Soon, we traded for a Pace Arrow, and that was a grand experience in motoring! Just recently, we traded again for our Infinity, and just love it.

I am a retired Theatre Teacher, and work now for a gift shop. In addition, I teach ballroom dancing. Steve continues to work full-time as a homebuilder, so our long-distance trips are few and far between......What a dilemma! Of course, we very much enjoy the short trips with our Good Sam buddies. We both love to read, dance, socializing with friends and family (six children, inlaws included and seven grandchildren), and of course, chat about those retirement days, toodling down the open road in our RV!
