Fred Crowley's 1962 3000 MKII

Below are a couple of pictures of my '62 tri-carb 3000 MkII vintage racer.
It started life as my company car when I lived in Long Beach, Ca.

I started vintage racing it in 1990, and it has seen a lot of race miles since
then at a lot of different tracks throughout the US and Canada.

I currently reside in Plano, Texas and compete primarily with Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing (CVAR), running at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Tx. and at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit up in Northern Oklahoma.

The engine turns out about 200hp with a cast iron head, 11.5:1 pistons, lightened flywheel, putting power out through a set of straight cut gears with the stock O/D, driving a 3.92 or 4.11 rear-end as required by the track with a quiafe differential, NOS competition lever shocks and other suspension bits to stiffen it up real nice. It is a neutral handling car that is reliable and fast.
