ATTENTION ROUNDUP ENTHUSIASTS!
I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Waco Texas is the place to be in 2017. Specifically April 20 – 23rd when North Texas has the privilege of hosting this real Texas event.
It’s going to be different than any other Texas Healey Roundup because we’ve got some once in a lifetime event venues lined up! For those who arrive early, there is a wine and cheese reception at the Courtyard by Marriott’s poolside gazebo then a private after hour’s tour of the Armstrong Browning Library followed by a light dinner.
Friday the North Texas Club Welcomes “Healey Friends” at a complimentary Dinner buffet with some good dessert and plenty of beverage.
Saturday kicks off early with the Car Show inside the Cameron Park Zoo. We will be under the big beautiful oak tree looking onto the meadow of beautiful Healeys. We’ve got you caged in for the entire event! Since we’re in the middle of the Zoo, and access in and out is restricted to particular times, we’ll line up to go in at 8:30, Cars will be lead through the zoo to the meadow. Once parked and show ready enjoy 3 hours in this unique environment! There will be a “zoo walk” for those who want to see the animals. There will be a lunch served. While the Car Show continues, zoo patrons will have the opportunity to vote for their “Zoo Favorite” car. At the designated time cars will exit the zoo and off you go because the starting point for the Rally is right outside the gate! The Rally takes you up and thru the Heart of Texas. Enjoy the drive and finish up Back at the Courtyard by Marriott. Saturday concludes with the evening banquet at a local venue. Hospitality continues back at the Courtyard.
Sunday is not to be missed! The Gymkhana and Acceleration Run, as well as the Sunday Brunch afterwards, will be held at the Texas State Technical College Campus. The car events will take place on the former James Connelly Air Force Bases tarmac ramp and runway.
Texas Healey Roundup 37 will conclude with the final awards presentations and lovely meal across campus at the Culinary Arts Facility.
The Host Hotel is the recently remodeled Courtyard by Marriott. There’s complimentary WIFI and breakfast buffet. Room rate will be honored until March 30, 2017.
